Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions of Service

1. General

Southwest Club Works provides golf club refurbishment and customisation services including, but not limited to, sanding, polishing, brushing, stripping, sandblasting, paint filling, stamping, torch colouring, and regripping.

By submitting equipment for refurbishment, requesting services, or otherwise instructing Southwest Club Works to undertake work, the customer confirms acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Owner’s Risk

All golf clubs and equipment are accepted, stored, transported, and worked on entirely at the owner’s risk.

Southwest Club Works accepts no responsibility for loss, damage, or deterioration of equipment except where required by law.

Customers are responsible for ensuring clubs are packaged appropriately when shipped and insured where necessary.

3. Nature of Refurbishment Services

Refurbishment involves mechanical and chemical processes including sanding, polishing, stripping, blasting, and heating of metal surfaces.

These processes may alter the appearance, weight distribution, surface structure, or integrity of the club.

The customer acknowledges that refurbishment inherently involves risk to the equipment and accepts that such risks are part of the service being requested.

4. Permanent Alteration

All refurbishment work performed by Southwest Club Works constitutes permanent and irreversible modification of the golf club.

Once refurbishment has commenced, the original finish or condition of the club cannot be restored.

Customers accept full responsibility for the decision to proceed with permanent modification of their equipment.

5. Raw Steel and Surface Finishes

Where chrome, coatings, or finishes are removed, the underlying material may be raw carbon steel.

Raw steel will naturally oxidise, rust, or develop patina over time. This is a natural property of the material and not a defect.

Customers accept full responsibility for maintenance and care of raw finishes following refurbishment.

Southwest Club Works accepts no responsibility for corrosion, oxidation, colour changes, or finish degradation occurring after completion of the work.

6. Cosmetic Variation

All work is performed manually and finishes are created by hand.

As a result:

  • Exact colours cannot      be guaranteed
  • Torch colouring may      vary in shade and tone
  • Surface textures may      vary
  • Minor cosmetic marks      may remain from previous wear

Such variations are inherent to hand-refinished equipment and do not constitute defects.

7. Pre-Existing Wear or Structural Defects

Golf clubs submitted for refurbishment are often previously used and may contain:

  • fatigue cracks
  • weakened welds
  • hidden structural      defects
  • previous repair work

Southwest Club Works does not inspect clubs for structural integrity and accepts no responsibility for failure of the club during or after refurbishment due to pre-existing defects.

8. Long-Term Structural Performance

Refurbishment services are cosmetic in nature and are not intended to repair structural integrity.

Southwest Club Works accepts no liability for:

  • structural failure      of the club head or shaft
  • detachment of the      club head
  • cracking, bending,      or deformation of the club

whether occurring immediately after refurbishment or at any future time.

The long-term structural condition and performance of the club remain solely the responsibility of the owner.

9. Face Treatment and Groove Work

Face blasting, cleaning, or groove treatment is performed for cosmetic or cleaning purposes only.

Southwest Club Works makes no representation or guarantee regarding:

  • spin performance
  • groove sharpness
  • conformity with      governing bodies such as the United States Golf Association or the The      R&A.

Ensuring equipment compliance with competition rules is the responsibility of the customer.

10. Third-Party Processing

Where chrome or coatings require specialist stripping, clubs may be sent to external providers.

Southwest Club Works is not responsible for:

  • delays caused by      third-party services
  • damage occurring      during third-party processing
  • variation in finish      resulting from stripping processes.

11. Shipping and Transit

Customers are responsible for the safe packaging and shipment of clubs to Southwest Club Works.

Southwest Club Works is not liable for:

  • loss in transit
  • shipping delays
  • damage caused by      postal or courier services.

Customers are advised to use insured shipping where appropriate.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the liability of Southwest Club Works for any claim relating to services provided shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed.

Southwest Club Works shall not be liable for:

  • loss of equipment      value
  • loss of use of      equipment
  • consequential loss
  • competitive      disadvantage
  • indirect or      incidental damages.

13. Turnaround Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed.

Delays may occur due to workload, supplier lead times, stripping processes, or shipping conditions.

14. Acceptance of Terms

Submission of a quote request through the Southwest Club Works website requires confirmation that the customer has read and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

By selecting the acceptance checkbox and submitting a request for a quote, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:

  • these Terms and      Conditions govern any services provided by Southwest Club Works;
  • the customer accepts      the risks associated with refurbishment and modification of golf      equipment; and
  • any work carried out      following a submitted request is performed in accordance with these Terms      and Conditions.

Submission of the quote request and confirmation of acceptance constitutes a legally binding acknowledgement of these Terms and Conditions prior to any work commencing.
